SAB World of Beer

At SAB, we’re proud of our heritage and we want to share it with our fellow South Africans. The SAB World of Beer is one such place to do this. Opened in 1995 by Nelson Mandela, it shared an iconic year with our country in that it was the same year we celebrated 100 years of brewing mastery, and the year our Springboks rose to fame in the World Cup Rugby.

In line with these celebrations, we opened the Centenary Centre museum, which showcases the history of  South African beer. This was one of the first developments in the popular Newtown area and has since sparked a rapid growth of trendy shops, restaurants and markets in the area.
