Proteas team sponsor Castle Lager pays tribute to Jacques Kallis

Wednesday, July 30th, 2014

Proteas Test and One Day cricket team sponsor Castle Lager has paid tribute to another legend of the game who sadly retires from International Cricket today.

Jacques Kallis is regarded as the best all-rounder the game of Cricket has seen since South Africa’s return to International cricket in 1993 and will be sorely missed by the Proteas team, by the public at large and by his team mates.

“For us, Jacques has been an inspiration to all and a sincere friend of Castle Lager and The South African Breweries throughout his career”, said SAB Sport Sponsorship and Castle Lager General Manager, Alastair Hewitt.

Jacques has represented South Africa on the global stage for over 15 years with aplomb and has made the country proud, having broken most records as an all-rounder with amazing talent and ability in all formats of the game.

“Off the field, Jacques is a humble man, softly spoken, great sense of humility and a genuine friend to those who have had the privilege to meet him. We salute you Jacques Henry Kallis and thank to you for ‘making it all come together” for South African Cricket. You have literally stood the ‘TEST’ of time, ” he concluded.
