What makes a Clean World?

We are committed to A Clean World in which waste and carbon emissions will be reduced within the business and across the agricultural value chain and distribution network, as well as divert a high proportion of brewery waste from landfill and create new value from waste. We have committed to a 30% total value chain carbon footprint reduction by 2020, while also continuing to reduce the amount of waste that end up in landfills.
In order to reduce our impact on the environment, we have employed a zero waste policy that we stick to by encouraging the following actions:
We have tied financial incentives to the reduction of waste in our supply chain, to ensure that every employee is encouraged to maintain our sustainability practices. Some of the ways in which we are contributing to waste reduction are:
- Reusing spent grain for animal feed
- Using our filtration mediums in compost or cement
- Using waste water to produce fertiliser or energy
