In 1963, Italian brewer Rudi Peroni saw an opportunity to be the first European to create a truly superior beer – a beer deserving of wearing the Blue Ribbon, the Nastro Azzurro. This international premium brand was introduced into South Africa in 2005 following SABMiller’s acquisition of the Italian brewer in 2003. It is now available in over 30 countries worldwide.
Birra Peroni has always adhered to the traditions of Italian craftsmanship, passion and flair, the cornerstones upon which the company was founded by the illustrious Francesco Peroni in 1846. These same attributes are still evident in every sip of Peroni Nastro Azzurro. It’s still made to the original recipe – using only 100% natural ingredients, including the finest European hops, and with a carefully lengthened brewing process to create an intensely crisp and refreshing taste, a birra superiore, a timeless classical beer of the highest quality.
Peroni is available in a stylish 330ml bottle, 440ml can and four-pack. The secondary packaging has also earned Peroni Nastro Azzurro both the SA Gold Pack and International Award.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is the perfect beer for young and stylish South Africans who lead active and diverse lifestyles, are driven and focused, are controlled by a drive to succeed and who appreciate the good things in life with certain nonchalance. This crisp and distinctive beer complements their own effortlessly stylish approach – their own “sprezzatura”. Because behind their unmistakable exterior is an attitude that understands that life is to be enjoyed, not laboured over.
It’s an attitude that they recognise in every bottle of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, the beer for the good life. Peroni Nastro Azzurro brings Italian lifestyle to South Africa.
