SAB to invest R100-million in CO2 self-reliance capacity
18 March 2007The South African Breweries (SAB) confirmed today that it would be investing R100m in new CO2 capacity. This follows a period of shortages which have affected the company’s Soft Drink Division, ABI, from producing sufficient quantities of soft drinks to meet consumer demand.

SAB to discontinue production of Amstel in South Africa
12 March 2007The South African Breweries Limited (SAB) has learnt through a Heineken press release that they have terminated SAB’s licence to brew, market and distribute Amstel Lager, which SAB has been doing for 40 years in South Africa, with immediate effect.
