Driving sustainable development is core to our business strategy and SAB’s aspiration to become a model competitor that works for the benefit of retailers, consumers and South African society.
Behaving responsibly, conserving resources and contributing to communities, are all an intrinsic part of SAB Limited’s heritage. We are already working to address the harm caused by irresponsible alcohol consumption and have a long history in enterprise development and corporate social investment for the benefit of the communities in which we operate.
Another important priority on our sustainable development agenda is water. We will also continue to deliver against high standards as we work towards zero-waste operations, investigate packaging solutions to support the reuse and recycling of materials and reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint.
Our commitment to sustainable development is rooted in the belief that we must run our business with a clear understanding of what is in the best long-term interests of all our stakeholders and all our efforts are underpinned by our respect for human rights and our commitment to transparency and conducting our business in a an ethical manner.
