Bernice Samuels was appointed Executive Director of Strategic Planning at SAB in 2015, relinquishing her role as Chief Marketing Officer at First National Bank.

With more than 20 years’ experience in business, marketing strategy development and implementation, Bernice has been a key driver behind developing well-known corporate brands in South Africa and Africa including MNET, MTN and FNB. She has received numerous accolades, including 2013 Marketer of the Year in the Sunday Times Top Brands Awards.

She first started her career in environmental control at SAB’s Prospecton Brewery before moving on to become a senior research analyst at SAB.
Bernice holds a BSC Honours degree from the University of Cape Town in Genetic Engineering and an MBA from Wits Business School.
