SAB EMPOWERS OUR FARMERS FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE

Agriculture is the bedrock of the South African economy. Along with the South African government, SAB recognises the potential the sector has to reduce the country’s challenges of poverty, inequality and unemployment.

SAB firmly believes in the future of South Africa and we are proud of this public-private partnership that is taking a bold step towards transforming the country through Agricultural development.

Our dream is to advance a vibrant and thriving Agri sector across the full farming community, also fast-tracking the inclusion of more black emerging farmers, particularly women and the youth, ensuring that we actively drive equitable growth.

Our ambition is equally matched by our R1-billion investment into South African communities, in partnership with government, delivering impactful change within society, through 4th Industrial Revolution technologies that will exponentially improve farmer production processes, increasing crop yield and income generation.

Close to 800 black emerging farmers – 40% of which are black women farmers – are already benefiting from our work in Agriculture. In addition to this, we are committed to creating 2 600 jobs across the sector. SAB’s dream is to bring people together for a better South Africa, we are heeding the call to build a country we can all be proud of.
