"You don't know where you're going until you know where you've been"
English Proverb

Take a tour of the SAB World of Beer, and you’ll quickly discover why it has twice been named the number one tourist attraction in South Africa. This intriguing, entertaining and interactive journey explores the rich history of beer, uncovering the important role beer has played culturally, socially and economically across the ages and around the globe.

You will then learn about beer in South Africa and how it has influenced our culture and traditions over thousands of years. The next stop is how beer has influenced Europe and the rest of the world, before you move on to the ingredients used to brew SAB beers. How the hops and malted barley are grown and treated to be the best beer they can be.

What’s next is truly something special, a half way half-pint stop at the Lion Pub followed by a truly South African shebeen.

Then it is on to the brewing process: from malting, mashing, wort boiling, lautering, fermentation, maturation to kegging, canning and bottling.

We’ll finish off by taking you through the SAB brands and what makes every product unique while giving you some inside information about your favourites.
